Fulbright Grants

The mission of the Fulbright Program is to promote mutual understanding between the U.S. and Japan by fostering global leaders in various fields through educational exchange.

Educational Information Service (EIS)

EIS is supported by both the U.S. and Japanese governments to provide information on Japanese and U.S. higher education to the general public.

Special Exchange Project (SEP)

Fulbright Japan supports and arranges special exchange projects for Japanese and American students and teachers.

The Fulbright Experience for Global Leaders

The Fulbright grant has an international reputation built on the principles of binational governance, autonomy, and open competition based on individual merit without regard to the individual's institutional affiliation, geographical location, race, color or creed. The objective of the grant is not only to enable the recipient to pursue a particular field of study but to develop leaders who can contribute to promoting mutual understanding between the United States and Japan.
